Selection of the European Cadet Team - Hungary 6th to 8th July 2007

The Cadet European Championships is a new event that the BTCB - Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd aim to develop a competitive team. The ages do not meet with standard Cadet weight groups therefore the selection of the team will not be conducted in the standard way but via the following series of criteria:

• The Dome Open, Doncaster, 10th June (contact Master Sykes for entry criteria and details). Any players that compete well in divisions and show that they have the desired skills, will be requested to attend a further training weekend at the national academy in Manchester on the 16th and 17th June.

• The BTS Open, Southampton, 3rd June (contact Master Joe Brown for entry criteria and details). Any players that compete well in divisions and show that they have the desired skills, will be requested to attend a further training weekend at the national academy in Manchester on the 16th and 17th June.

• Any cadet player that has a medal winning international track record at Cadet level will be invited to the training weekend at the national academy in Manchester on the 16th and 17th June.

• The Team will be selected by Richard Allen and Michael Gregorio following the weekend training camp in Manchester. Once the team has been confirmed by the BTCB Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd the team will be officially announced.
