The Great Britain team have returned home from Paris with another successful haul of medals. The 14-strong team came home with two gold, three silver and one bronze in a largely contested Olympic-weight tournament.
Craig Brown (Fusion Taekwondo Club, London) and Aaron Cook (Scorpion Taekwondo Club, Doncaster) competed at the senior male -80kg achieving a silver and bronze respectively, both losing to the gold medallist from Canada. Tyrone Robinson achieved an impressive silver medal in a large -58kg weight division.
The junior team was also successful with Bianca Walkden (Liverpool Elite Taekwondo Club, Liverpool) dominating the junior +63kg weight division adding another gold to her impressive tally this year. Farren Cummins (Manchester Aces Taekwondo Club, Manchester) and Stella Whitehead (Scorpion Taekwondo Club, Doncaster) met in the final of -63kg weight, with Farren becoming the eventual winner.

Top class taekwondo action is set to return to Manchester later this year with the staging of the BTCB (British Taekwondo Control Board) National Championships, which will be held from 15-16th December.
The event follows hot on the heels of the World Taekwondo Qualification Event for the Beijing Olympics which was held in Manchester last month, featuring over 300 athletes from more than 100 countries.
